Marian R. DeLano Memorial Scholarship
A $1,000 award to help fund flight training. Applicant must (1) be a female, (2) have solo sign-off and written test passed for private pilot license, or a FWP and (3) be a member of a chapter of the Southwest Section, Ninety-Nine. The scholarship is good for one rating or certificate only. Air Transport Rating not eligible. There is a 90 day limit to apply funds towards training.
The completed application must be submitted by January 31st.
Awarded February 28th.
Dottie Sanders Memorial Flight Scholarship
A $1,000 award to help fund flight training. Applicant must (1) be a female, (2) reside in San Diego, Riverside or Imperial counties, (3) have passed written and soloed OR be a "Future Woman Pilot" member of any local chapter, (4) have a current student medical for PPL award OR if for an advanced rating/certificate must have Private certificate. Funds may be used to help fund Private Pilot training for any FWP member of the Ninety Nines, OR if a certified pilot applicant, may be used to fund training for the Instrument, Commercial, Multi Engine, or any Flight Instructor certificates. There is a 90 day limit to apply funds towards training.
The completed application must be submitted April 1st.
Awarded on April 23rd.
Student Pilot Flight Training Scholarship
One $1,000 award to help fund Private Pilot training. Applicant must (1) be a female San Diego County resident, (2) have passed the written test, (3) have a current student medical, and (4) soloed. There is a 90 day limit to apply funds towards training.
The completed Student Pilot Application must be postmarked no later than September 30th.
Darlene Kelly Advanced Certificate/Rating
Flight Training Scholarship
One $2,000 award to help fund training for the Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, or any Flight Instructor certificate. Applicant must (1) be a female San Diego County resident, (2) have a current medical, and (3) have a private pilot license. There is a 90 day limit to apply funds towards training.
The completed Advanced Ratings/Licenses Application must be postmarked no later than December 31st.
